This fall I was so lucky to be able to work with my own wedding photographer, Alana of 1486 Photography, to capture Veronica and Stephen’s joyful and rustic wedding in Caledon. This beautiful wedding took place on a gorgeous Air BnB with a large home where the wedding party got ready, as well as an antique barn and carriage house where the cocktail hour and reception took place.
The day started with the lively bridal party in their getting ready space. Veronica had a wonderful assortment of details, including some antique jewelry from her grandmother that all her cousins had also worn on their wedding days. After that I had the pleasure of photographing the bride and her friends as they got pumped up for the day, dancing and drinking on the deck outside of their getting ready space. The bride and her girls performed a dance they had learned during the bachelorette, with plenty of enthusiasm! Veronica and her friends were one of the most fun bridal parties I’ve been able to work with so far, and I hope to work with many more like them in the future.
Veronica and Stephen chose to have their ceremony in front of the garden, which lent an extra touch of romance to the event. They had a close friend officiate, someone who had known them since they first started dating in high school. It did not surprise me that this sweet and playful couple included some inside jokes in their ceremony. The levity made it all the more touching when each of them teared up while delivering their vows.
During their couples portraits Veronica and Stephen really let their playful sides show, and majority of their photos together include them laughing or just generally bubbling over with joy. This made for some very sweet portraits! Afterwards, the couple joined up with their immediate family and bridal party to take a celebratory shot before the reception. Of course, with a start like that the reception was destined to be a very fun party indeed!
Veronica and Stephen’s wedding day was filled with so much laughter and joy, it was a pleasure to be there capturing beautiful memories for them. My congratulations to the happy couple! Have a look below for some of my favourite photos from the day!
