A Winter Engagement Session at Island Lake in Orangeville with Ivana and Allan

My first engagement photo session of the year could not have taken place on a more beautiful winter day! Ivana and Allan are avid hikers and chose to do their engagement photos at the beautiful Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville. Lucky for us, it was a sunny day with minimal winds which put everyone in a fantastic mood for taking photos.

On the hike to our different photo locations I had the pleasure of chatting with Ivana and Allan and learning all about them. These two have been together for eight years, which is incredible! My husband, Ryan, and I were together for nine years before we got married so we all bonded over the funny and impatient comments people tend to make when a couple who’s been dating for a long time finally gets engaged.

What I find most impressive about Ivana and Allan is that they are powering through and planning their whole wedding in just six months! I find this incredible because that is so much work to get done in such a short time frame. I would certainly be a stressed mess if I were trying to pull together a wedding so quickly, but these two seemed cool and calm as can be.

During their photos Ivana and Allan were so sweet and natural in front of the camera. They were both glowing with love for one another, and there were many points during their engagement session where they couldn’t contain their smiles and laughter. Their affectionate nature is so clear in their photos, and I think it is so freaking cute!
