A Fairytale Wedding at Casa Loma with Iris and Eric

Last fall I had the incredible pleasure of photographing Iris and Eric’s lush and romantic wedding at Casa Loma. Everything about this day was a fairy tale come to life and I’m so glad I got to help my friend Bryn capture images that these two will cherish for life.

Iris and Eric had already done a tea ceremony before their wedding so they decided that they would get ready together, and I personally love this decision! I am all about building a timeline that lets you spend as much time with your new spouse as possible on a wedding day. I usually recommend a first look but getting ready together is an even better way to soak up your time together. An extra cute addition to their getting ready space was their sweet Yorkie puppy who hung out with Iris and Eric all day!

After getting ready with their friends and pup it was time to head outside for portraits and bridal party photos. I have to say, Iris chose the perfect dress for the venue! Her portraits coming down the castle stairs and out amongst the grounds are absolutely dreamy!

After getting some gorgeous shots outside we had to head into the ceremony space, and it was so stunning! The greenhouse in Casa Loma is gorgeous on a normal day, but Iris and Eric did all their own floral design and it was simply breathtaking. They completely transformed the space into something that felt enchanted and otherworldly, it was so beautiful!

Because Iris and Eric did such an incredible job with their floral design, the ceremony space also became the prime portrait location! We got plenty of shots of them in front of the fountain surrounded by their flowers, as well as a few on the grounds of Casa Loma. Everywhere these two went, they brought the romantic vibes with them and we ended up with some truly amazing portraits!

Finally, it was time for the reception! Iris and Eric hosted theirs in the beautiful library just off their ceremony space, which really enhanced the fairy tale vibes. Just like with their ceremony, the couple planned beautiful floral elements for their reception space! The guests certainly had a great time watching their choreographed dance, taking part in the games the couple had planned, and listening to the sweet speeches.

What a beautiful wedding day! Even months later I am still in love with how much this day felt like stepping into a sweeping, romantic fairy tale. Congratulations to Iris and Eric!
